Inn to the Woods is located in Washington Crossing
in the heart of Bucks County. Just 35 minutes from Philadelphia,
fewer minutes from New Hope, and a little more than an hour
from New York City via the Trenton Train Station.
From New York
Take the Tunnels or bridges to the NJ Turnpike South and Exit
7A. This takes you to I-195 West, then to I-295 North towards
Princeton, and then to I-95 South. As you cross the bridge over
the Delaware River, stay to the right, and take the first exit
at the end of the bridge, new exit 51B (old exit 31B) New Hope.
From this exit you can only go North on Taylorsville Road. Then
follow directions from Taylorsville Road (below).
From
Connecticut & New England
Take the CT Turnpike over the Tappan Zee Bridge and pick up
the Garden State Parkway to the NJ Turnpike South. Follow the
NJ Turnpike, exiting at 7A. This puts you on I-195 West, then
I-295 North towards Princeton, and finally on I-95 South. As
you cross the bridge over the Delaware River, stay to the right,
and take the first exit at the end of the bridge, new exit 51B
(old exit 31B) New Hope. From this exit you can only go North
on Taylorsville Road. Then follow directions from Taylorsville
Road (below).
From Philadelphia & Points South
Follow signs to Trenton I-95 North, and get off at new exit
51 (old exit 31) New Hope. At the end of the exit ramp turn
left. Then follow the directions from Taylorsville Road (below).
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Take Exit 28. After the toll, keep to the left and follow signs
for Rt. 1 North (Morrisville-Trenton). Take Rt. 1 to Exit I-95
North. Follow I-95 until new exit 51 (old exit 31) New Hope.
At the end of the exit ramp turn left. Then follow the directions
from Taylorsville Road (below).
From Central Jersey
& Points South
Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 98 – I-195. Follow
I-195 West to I-295 North towards Princeton, and then to I-95
South. As you cross the bridge over the Delaware River, stay
to the right, and take the first exit at the end of the bridge,
new exit 51B (old exit 31B) New Hope. From this exit you can
only go North on Taylorsville Road. Then follow directions from
Taylorsville Road (below).
From North Jersey
Take Rt. 78 or Rt. 22 to Somerville. Then pick up Rt. 202 South
to "Last Exit Before Toll" – Rt. 29 South. From
the point where you actually pick up Rt. 29 South, go 8 miles
to the light at the Washington Crossing Bridge. Turn right and
go over the bridge to the light at Taylorsville Road. Turn left
and go 1.7 miles to Mt. Eyre Road. Turn right. Proceed 4/10
of a mile on Mt. Eyre Road and turn right onto Walker Road and
then first right on Bruce. Follow Bruce Road to the first stop
sign at Glenwood Drive. Turn right onto Glenwood Drive, and
remain on this road until it ends. You will see the entrance
to INN to the Woods, number 150, ahead of you through the stone
pillars. Stay to the right as you proceed through the pillars
and down the gravel driveway.
From Taylorsville
Road
Proceed on Taylorsville Road for one mile, turn left onto Mt.
Eyre Road (the street sign is on the right). Proceed 4/10 of
a mile and turn right onto Walker Road and then first right
on Bruce. Follow Bruce Road to the first stop sign at Glenwood
Drive. Turn right onto Glenwood Drive, and remain on this road
until it ends. You will see the entrance to Inn to the Woods,
number 150, ahead of you through the stone pillars. Stay to
the right as you proceed through the pillars and down the gravel
driveway. |
